Garrison Muay Thai Gym is led by Head Coach Trent "Hammer" Hansen, a highly skilled and experienced Muay Thai practitioner known for his impressive technical prowess.

Trent "Hammer" Hansen
Head Coach & Founder
Trent “Hammer” Hansen is the founder and head coach of Garrison Muay Thai. He began fighting at 13 years old and competed from 2001 to 2016, building a strong career across both Muay Thai and boxing.
​
Across his career Trent recorded 35 Muay Thai fights and 3 boxing bouts, competing on major promotions across Australia including Domination (WA), Kings of Kombat (VIC), Warriors Way (VIC), Caged Muay Thai (QLD), Ultimate Legends (VIC) and Super Muay Thai in Bangkok.
​
His achievements include silver medals at the IFMA Arafura Games in 2009 and 2011, winning the 2011 Arafura Cup, and becoming Bangla Stadium Champion in 2014. His final fight in Australia was for the A1 World Title.
Trent has been coaching since 2015, working with students of all levels from beginners through to active fighters. Through Garrison Muay Thai he continues to build a strong team culture and help develop the next generation of Muay Thai athletes in Darwin.

Kru Nin
Muay Thai Coach
Kru Nin brings extensive experience in both boxing and Muay Thai coaching to Garrison Muay Thai. Over his boxing career he competed 130 times, recording 85 wins and 45 losses with 5 knockout victories.
​
With more than 15 years of coaching experience, Nin has trained and developed many successful fighters across Thailand and internationally.
Among the athletes he has worked with are Klong Thorani S. Sommai, Ritthidet S. Sommai, Petchchakchan Chuay, Ha Phayak, Dechowlek P. Borirak, Roi Cheng, Den Kriengkrai Sing Mawin, Si Ui Sing Mawin, Taphaokaew Sing Mawin, Phet Banrai Sing Mawin and Kradooglek K. Klomkleaw.
​
Several of these fighters have gone on to achieve major titles including Rajadamnern Stadium champions, RWS champions and Thai national champions. Notably Taphaokaew Singhamawin became a Rajadamnern and RWS champion, while See-ui Singhamawin became a Thai champion, and Kraduklek K. Klomkleaw won the Rajadamnern 108-pound title.

Petchchakchan Ch. 5 Phayak also became a Thai champion and received the Royal Trophy from the Sports Authority of Thailand.
​
Kru Nin himself holds a Southern Thailand regional championship title and continues to pass on traditional Muay Thai knowledge and high-level experience to students at Garrison Muay Thai.

Skyla "Full Noise" Chatterton
Fighter & Trainer
Skyla “Full Noise” Chatterton is one of the Northern Territory’s leading young Muay Thai athletes. Training out of Garrison Muay Thai from a young age, she has built an impressive record with 20 amateur fights (15 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw) including 7 TKO victories, along with one professional fight and one win.
​
Skyla is the 2024 MTA Australian Junior Champion and a 2025 WMF World Championship gold medalist, representing Australia on the international stage. She has also competed at the IFMA World Muay Thai Championships, earning bronze in 2022, silver in 2023 and bronze again in 2024.
​
In 2024 she also won the WMC Thai Grand Cup Youth Championship, further cementing her place as one of Australia’s rising Muay Thai talents.
​
Skyla was also recognised as the 2025 Northern Territory Junior Sportsperson of the Year, after representing Australia as part of the IFMA Australian Team, where she ranked third in the world for her age and division.
​
Alongside her own fight career, Skyla helps support classes at Garrison Muay Thai, mentoring younger students and contributing to the strong team culture within the gym.
